Contract type: Full-Time Employment

As a Business Development Officer, you would be working remotely from Chicago. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality results while working in a fast paced and growing environment. The Business Development Officer be responsible for the following:

  • Generate new leads and scout the market for new opportunities, while maintaining relationships with existing clients
  • Organize one-on-one meetings, prepare presentations, and attend networking events
  • Deal directly with referral sources such as Bankers, Investment Bankers, Private Equity, and other Asset Based Lenders
  • Pitch credit solutions to middle market C-level executives
  • Negotiate lending terms with prospects
  • Oversee transactions through all stages of due diligence and legal review until funding


  • Undergraduate degree from a recognized institute is required; Finance and/or Marketing/Communications Majors are preferred
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in a relevant field is required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and time-management expertise
  • Proven ability to problem-solve
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
