Director Of Business Development

As a Business Development Director, you would be primarily working remotely. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality results while working under a fast paced and growing environment. The Business Development Director will be reporting to the Executive Director and be responsible for the following:

  • Generate new leads and scout the market for new opportunities, while maintaining relationships with existing clients
  • Build an active pipeline of qualified prospects, generating leads from bankers, asset-based lenders, and factors, and from direct cold calling to business owners and CFO’s
  • Organizing one-on-one meetings, preparing presentations, and attending networking events
  • Pitching the credit products to C-level executives at middle market companies
  • Ability to negotiate policy terms and conditions
  • Build a portfolio of business that will align with FGI’s strategic growth and retention goals

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree from a recognized institute is required
  • Experience working with credit insurance is required
  • Licensed in property and casualty insurance
  • Proven track record in client acquisition, as well as retention
  • At least 5 years of experience in the relevant field is required
  • Working knowledge of major computer programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent detail orientation and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize workflow
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have deep understanding of Excel, Word, and MS Office
